The clubs in District 5180 do some incredible work and often not in their own backyard!!
Early this year, some members of the Rotary Club of Roseville got involved with a trip to Guatemala to install vented stoves in the homes of Mayan families.
Working with nonprofit DreamInvestGrow (DIG), they installed 41 stoves in 4 days!!!
Can you imagine going over mountain passes, dirt roads only meant for donkeys and goats, to get the stoves into the area??
The lasting impact of this effort is that mothers no longer have to cook over open fires inside their homes, breathing smoke that affects their lungs as well as their children's health every single day.
