District 5180 Speech Contest
District 5180 Speech Contest
2025 Speech Contest Theme: The Magic of Service
Each year the Rotary clubs in District 5180 hold a youth speech contest for high school students to encourage and support them in enhancing and improving their public presentation skills as they reflect on the speech contest theme and offer their thoughts and insights during their presentation. Each student's presentation is judged on delivery, originality and content. And, students receive a monetary award if they achieve a result within the top three highest scores.
The 2025 theme is "The Magic of Service" which builds upon the Rotary International Theme, "The Magic of Rotary."
Starting in October 2024, clubs will be encouraged to kick-off their speech contest by building community-wide awareness of the contest and begin their recruitment efforts with their local high schools.
Throughout the speech contest process, our 2025 District 5180 Speech Contest Chair, Bill Highland, can answer any questions and address issues. You can email Bill by clicking here.
