Global Grant Scholarships
Rotary Scholarships for Graduate Students
The Rotary Foundation has scholarships available for graduate degree programs abroad.  We are looking for candidates who have been accepted in an international  university program in one of the following six areas of focus:
  • Peace and conflict prevention
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Community and economic development
Rotary District 5180 has a minimum of $30,000 scholarships available, depending on the number of qualified inbound and outbound scholarship applicants.  Applicants for outbound scholarships must work or live within Rotary District 5180 boundaries.  Inbound applicants must already be accepted at a college or university within (or very close to) our District boundaries.  The ideal candidate’s professional goals should align with The Rotary Foundation’s humanitarian efforts.
The 2020-2021 Schedule for the application and completing the process is as follows:
October 30, 2020           
Deadline for submitting applications to a local Rotary Club.
November 6, 2020              
Deadline for Clubs-sponsored applications to be sent to the District Global Grants Scholarship Subcommittee for review.
December 15, 2020              
The tentative date for selected candidates to be interviewed — location to be determined.
December 30, 2020              
The final decision on the award of scholarships will be announced by this date.
May 22, 2021         
Required orientation for successful scholars (location will be announced at the time of scholarship award).
January 31, 2022     Interim Report Due
June 30, 2022            Final Report Due
