November is 'Foundation Month' and Rotary International is encouraging clubs to educate it’s members and our ‘circle of influence’ about the Rotary Foundation and what it does in the world.

 
November is 'Foundation Month' and Rotary International is encouraging clubs to educate it’s members and our ‘circle of influence’ about the Rotary Foundation and what it does in the world.
 
Here is a link to some videos you can post to on your Facebook page, Twitter account or as a ClubRunner or personal email Doing Good in the World video library. Please feel free to use these when you communicate to the world about the Rotary story.
 
This year, Rotary will kick-off the holiday season by joining the social media world on December 2nd for #GivingTuesday. Started in 2012, #GivingTuesday is a movement to go online for a classic holiday tradition – giving to those in need. Following the Thanksgiving weekend into Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday had 2.5 million views online last year. For a bit of friendly Rotary competition, the Foundation will send a special thank you and give national recognition to the club and district that have the most individual gifts made to The Rotary Foundation on #GivingTuesday.
 
Although Rotarians give to the community year round, #GivingTuesday is a great chance to reach new supporters with the momentum of social media. Lead your club or district to give on December 2nd by supporting Rotary on Facebook or Twitter.
 
One last thing......as many of you know our district lead the way in EREY last year with 15 clubs achieving EREY status. There were a handful of clubs that were very close as well. Let's be the leaders in showing the rest of the Rotary world our commitment to the Foundation by getting half our clubs to EREY status this year.
