Steve Turner, District Governor Nominee - 2024-25

Steve Turner is from Sacramento, California and hails from the Rotary Club of Arden-Arcade. Steve joined Rotary in 2011 after being invited by friends in his professional and community circles. Steve serves Rotary International District 5180 as an Assistant District Governor, and as his Club’s Local Foundation Chairman and Community Grants Program Chair. He was their Club President in 2015/16. His favorite club accomplishments have been the club’s district grant to purchase a community Rotary van, his club’s local program of Coats for Kids, and his club and foundation’s new memorandum of understanding on financial operations.  
 
In working toward his year as District Governor in 2024/2025, Steve plans to focus on: membership building by bringing tools to our clubs to make club meetings more valuable to new members, increasing Rotary’s value in our local communities and in finding ways to smooth the Rotary administration experience.
 
Steve Turner is a retired fire battalion chief from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, serving 30 years in the roles of commander, Homeland Security executive, hazardous materials captain, public information officer, fire investigator and firefighter. He has been a California police officer and on-call deputy sheriff for 23 years. Steve owns an investigations and consulting firm focused on security and public safety issues. 
 
Steve is a California state certified Chief Officer, a CA licensed private investigator, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in management from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California. Steve and his daughter Audrey live in the Arden area of Sacramento.
